English Introduction:
Impatiens walleriana, also known asBusy Lizzy or simply Impatiens, is native to eastern Africa from Kenya (肯尼亚) to Mozambique (莫桑比克). It is a herbaceous (草本) perennial plant (多年生植物) growing to 15-60 cmtall. The flowers are profusely borne, 2-5 cmdiameter, with five petals and a 1 cmspur.
In some of its many varieties, thepetals have different colors along the edges, and in others, there is astar-pattern at the center of the blooms. The bright colors of its flowers, theease of care, and the length of its flower season make it a lead player amongthe autumn flowers. When its green fruits are fully ripe, you only have to givethem a light touch and they’ll project their seeds a considerable distance. This explains why the plant is called touch-me-not.
