寒兰没有春兰等国兰被重视是有其历史背景的,寒兰的形态,正如宋代[王氏兰谱]所叙:''叶粗糙而长似茅,时人鄙之,故称茅兰".因此古人不喜欢,后人也少种.其实是一种偏见.寒兰能在冰封雪冻的严冬,依然翠绿芬芳,潇洒自若,乃上苍给我们人类的最佳礼物之一.再者又有四季献艳吐芳的寒兰品种,更是她可贵之处,在日本和韩国尊寒兰为[兰花之王]实不为过之,也因此邻邦在寒兰方面有着先进的发展,想信国内爱寒兰的兰友会逐渐多起来.会有更多好的寒兰闻于世.
